Damn I’m tired but I’m ready for next month on Amazon Vella

I have three books. I had to make the covers for two for vella and one book I’ll put out later….

The Mark of Bob.

This is my vanilla book. Bob Lynn wakes up on the floor of a hotel room bare chested with a shit kicking hangover and weird tattoo on his right Bicept and no memory of how or who gave it to him. February, 2022

Blue Jumper…experimental and may not do that good. Zack Kennedy just got dumped by his girlfriend in public in a failed proposal attempt. His laying on the street of New Year with a crowd of laughing people around him and his balls hurting from his ex-girlfriend’s response to his proposal. He looks up in and sees a giant blue demon in air and knows he’s in hell. February 2022

Styxx Shade Chronicles

I’ve had this one in the back burner but I plan to finish it. Due out in March, 2022

The trials of Chase Morgan Chapter 11

Chase

I saw Eddie chilling on the side sitting down on a load stand talking to a shorty new hire. It was the second time today.

“Eddie. Come on man, haul ass. We got twent minutes until the end of the shift. You got a pack of Marlboros on me my guy if you can finish that trailer up on time.”

Photo by Nima Ashkbari on Pexels.com

Eddie got his ass up quick at the mention of Marlboros and ducked in to a trailer and started hauling ass knocking down packages on the extendo.

I walked down the row of trailer doors. Seeing people working hard to get it done. I checked my watch.

Photo by Ingo Joseph on Pexels.com

5:38 p.m.

Shit the time was creeping up I still had to check outside to see if some new trailers came in while I was inside. I hurried back down the alley as Kate came up to me looking stressed. I started walking away to exit out to the yard she followed me.

Photo by Marcelo Dias on Pexels.com

“Papi. We don’t have anymore Ncs coming in right. My section is blown up to much from the last half hour. My people need a break.”

“No. Audi wants us to just run overhead. I got to go check the yard.”

“What’s your deal, Papi? I was just playing around?”

Photo by SHVETS production on Pexels.com

I gave her a look. Kate turned and ran away. It was the smartest thing she’s done in two days sense she started her bullshit game between me and Chad. I knew she was on some bullshit.

I walked to the back exit and looked outside to see four new trailers on the fucking pad. I hurried outside to them and opened one up. It was full. Shit.

Photo by Tima Miroshnichenko on Pexels.com

“I know. That was my expression.”

I turned to watch my two favorite yard dogs Guy and Tee come over with their reflective safety vests on.

“We already checked them my guy. Two sams club. One Mitch hardwares. One Walmart.” Guy said.

Photo by Dre Dawkcide on Pexels.com

“Where you want em?” Tee asked.

Photo by Brian kimotho on Pexels.com

“I’ll tell you in a bit. You guys are doing great today. I got you for lunch tomorrow. What you want?”

“Red Lobster.” Tee said.

“Red Lobster.” Guy said

I frowned at him. “Really?! Alright.”

They grinned at me.

“We’re just fucking with you.” Guy said.

“McDonald’s my guy.” Tee said.

I flipped them off as I walked toward the door inside. “I got you.”

I headed inside to see two doors were empty. I pushed my radio.

“Yard dogs, come back.”

“Roof. Roof. Yeah go.” Guy said.

I smiled. “I need two trailers pulled on 12 and 13. Then put a Walmart up on 12 and put the Sam’s on 13..” I paused to checked my time.

5:50 p.m.

Damn. I was short on time. I wasn’t going to finish them up on time. But they had to go up. “You copy.”

“Got you, my guy.” Guy said.

“Chase, comeback.” Audi said to me on the radio.

Shit. “Yeah go.””

“Your sixty-eight in total and raising. What’s the down time?”

Photo by Markus Spiske on Pexels.com

68,000 packages in total and rising holy shit. I ran over to my computer and damn…it was 70,000 now.

“Chase. Come back ” Audi said.

“How’s load section?” I asked.

“Blown up all way down. They’re full up and we’re low on belly trailers. What’s the down time?” Audi said.

“Alright. Shut it down.” I said.

“Shutting it down. Congrats on breaking 60 but you’ll still need work on keeping up the speed of your crew the first two hours was slow.”

“Got you. I’m coming to control. Show me the numbers then on rate of unload.”

“Copy that.” Audi said.

Hot damn. I turned to walk to the control room. Managers from around the building came up and high-fived me. I saw Eddie catch my eye holding out his arms.

I held up a pack I had gotten it just in case for him and threw it to him. He caught it and held up his fist at me I did the same. What a day.

Figuring it out as I go along…

This month I’m in the red and I’ve been the most productive I’ve ever been in my writing pursuits and hoping to push forward several projects all at once and I know…I’ll get it done.

This month was several failures and odd moments of success. What did I learn?

I learned that I can get a lot of projects going and finished if I plan a head for having less time and energy. Getting up early helps for me but going to bed early is good to. I wasn’t producing enough writing and content until this month.

I need to write and produce more content from now on if I want reach my overall goal for the next ten years.

Next month….

I’m testing out the kindle vella program. It’s interesting. In a way it will be like what I’m doing on the blog but more limiting and a learning curve. I like the challenge.

I’ll be rolling out two projects next month to see how they fare on the platform. One experimental, the other vanilla fiction. Though this may change depending on what the people like.

I’m figuring it out as I go. I don’t have a manual to success. I just know yesterday’s successes won’t work today..

So I have to try challenge myself. I can’t get comfortable. I have a growing urge to build something of value to others. I’m not there yet but I’m still interested so I’ll keep going and adjust to changes.

Again. Thank you for coming with me this far. If you haven’t had a good laugh or smile from the blog. Wait a bit. I’ll get you sooner or later with a banger.

The trials of Chase Morgan Chapter 10

Chad

I walked out of the managers’ offices in to the main warehouse. I saw Kate speaking to Chase up close and personal. She looked at me and leaned over and tried to kiss him. He stepped back evading and turned to look at me. He looked between Kate and me.

I held up hand. “Easy. She’s just a girl bro.”

He stared at Kate and then he laughed in her face and threw up his middle fingers at her.

Photo by Aleksandr Burzinskij on Pexels.com

“Nice try. I ain’t down with your flat chest and pancake ass. Fuck you. Later bitch.” He said retreating away.

Kate laughed. “You know you, like me, Papi.”

Photo by Marcelo Dias on Pexels.com

Chase turned back glaring at her and once again flipping her off one last time before he slipped away to the unload.

Holy shit. He was pissed. My heart was hammering in my chest. That bitch got it lightly. Chase was changing.

Kate turned and looked at me grinning and walked over toward me. I held out my hand. “Give my key.”

Kate frowned. “What?”

Photo by Kindel Media on Pexels.com

“Give me my damn key. Bitch.” I said.

Photo by Roman Carey on Pexels.com

Kate flinched but dug in her pocket. She held her key chain. I took it got my key off and gave it back to her. “I told you he don’t like you. I’m having you written up for misconduct. You do this shit again and I’ll include sexual harassment in my next report.”

Kate flinched back and gave me a wide eye look. She opened her mouth.

“Save it. Get to the load section. I don’t want anymore bullshit out of you on the job. Try me. If you can’t be professional at work you don’t need to be here. Now go do your damn job.”

Kate stared at me looked behind me and then quickly turned and left. I knew who was behind me. I turned to see Audi coming up looking pissed. But, not as piss the fuck off as I was now.

“What the fuck happened?”

I stared at her. “Look into a transfer for Kate. We got to get her the fuck out of here before Chase goes off on her crazy ass. I don’t know what the fuck she’s on but she’s lost her fucking mind.”

Audi stared at me. “What the fuck is up with her?”

I shook my head. “I don’t give a fuck. She’s trying to fuck with my friendship with Chase. The bitch has to go be someone else’s problem. Not mean. Not Chase. Not now.” I said. Feeling angry at myself for fucking with that bitch and now she was fucking with Chase. Her silly ass didn’t know that Chase wasn’t the one to fuck with. She was going to fuck it all up if we didn’t get rid of her ass fast. “Get her the hell out of here.”

“I’ll handle it. Just keep her away from Chase. He doesn’t need her fucking with him right now. He just got promoted and I don’t want her fucking up his advancement career and future.”

I nodded. “I got it.” I said and hurried to unload.

I have an idea where this season of the trials of Chase Morgan is headed and other updates…

Yeah so I’m going to keep writing on this story or episodic series until…well until I think Chase finally completes his trials.

The plot is like a slow burn that’s heating up to bursts of flames until we reach the end and have a forest fire of hot sex and a bad bitch getting bent over a….

Pause.

Okay. There will be a lot of shit about to go down and if I do this right you won’t see it coming until shit gets real and Chase……

Anyway,

I got an email from kindle Amazon about their kindle villa episodic serial stories. I’m thinking about putting something together to put there to experiment a little though I do have a story in my back log I’m thinking of putting up but adding a spin to it.

I’ll keep the current story on the site and continue it until the end of the series. Hopefully I can get it all done this year. In between I will be publishing ebooks and beginning new stories.

The trials of Chase Morgan Chapter 9

Audi

I caught Chad and Kate having a heated but quiet conversation as I came in the building for work. The conversation quickly ended at the sight of me. Chad gave me a smile the “Everything is alright. Let’s party” smile.

Photo by Stefan Stefancik on Pexels.com

Kate gave me the look….

Photo by Marcelo Dias on Pexels.com

That same fake smile was on her face. “Hey. Audi. I love your blouse. It’s very cute.” She said and walked away.

Damn. She really needed a man or to relax. Chad smiled at me and then started walking with to my office. “So Chase told me you two are getting married next year. Congrats.”

Photo by Max Vakhtbovych on Pexels.com

I smiled. “We’re not engaged officially but thanks. Keep it quiet. So what were you and Kate talking about?”

Chad’s smile got even more brilliant. “Ah. Just some private stuff. Chase asked me to be his man.” He said sounding proud and excited.

I stared at him nodding my head slowly. “Yeah, I expected as much.”

I looked around as we pasted through a hallway not many people were in but I waited as we walked the short distance to my office. I put my stuff down and sat in my chair. “What does Chase think of Kate?”

Photo by Max Vakhtbovych on Pexels.com

Chad gave me a look before he closed the door behind him.

“Chase doesn’t think anything about her. He’s into you and right now he’s focused on getting his shit together. He’s not playing around.”

I nodded my head still staring at him. “Still though she thinks something about him.”

Chad stared at her. “I’m dating Kate.”

I nodded my head slowly. “Maybe, you need to tell her that.”

Chad sighed. “He doesn’t like her at all and he doesn’t want to make the time to feel anything about her at all. I would suggest you not bring her up in any conversation you two have. You wouldn’t like his response. It’s just a suggestion.”

Photo by SHVETS production on Pexels.com

Oh. He hates her well that’s all I needed to know. I smiled. “So, do you know the reason why Chase started all these plans?”

Chad laughed but he nodded. “Yeah. I know a little of the reason but I can’t tell you.”

“Why not?” I asked patiently.

Chad shrugged. “Because, I got to get to work. Later.” He said turned opened the door and walked out.

What does it mean to be a writer or a creative person?

The inspiration for this post.

Writing is an act or action. It’s not about the being It’s about the doing for whatever reason be it fun or informative or just having an idea that you have to record and share. Writing is just the action (verb) that the writer (noun) does.

Photo by Andrea Piacquadio on Pexels.com

I’ve had moments in my life when I didn’t want to be a writer. I wanted to stop writing entirely and focus my time on something else more fun. Video games are more entertaining and fun for me more then anything else.

The reason I write is because I have something to say or a story in my head that won’t go away. So I write because I have to communicate what’s on my mind the best way possible for me. I have to see and read it and I can’t remember it forever so I write it down to remind myself of it and sometimes have a good laugh later when I forget I wrote something like that.

Photo by Tima Miroshnichenko on Pexels.com

The creative part of me. Hmm. That’s more weirder because it’s a need my brain has to make something. I have to make something. I have to create or build something. It’s a weird urge. Where I can’t write it out I need to make it exist in some context I can see, hear or touch.

I remember recently feeling that urge to make a map for my Cyberpunk dreams world.

First thought. I need to see this….

Second thought, I had to scatch it out on my phone then I thought why not just generate it with a free map generator but the maps weren’t close to what I wanted.

I spent several days thinking on options then I decided to just do it myself once I figured out the rough dimensions of the realm and locations it took me one day and several hours but I did it. It wasn’t the best looking but it was one for one what the realm looks like and the right locations.

I wanted it to be a use able map.

Why?

No one is paying me to do it. I don’t feel a sense of pride the same way with my day job. It’s more urge.

It took a lot energy and creativity but it was done and my urge was satisfied. It didn’t need to be done at all but my brain needed to do it. I needed to see how my fictional story realm looked and functioned. So I can have a resource to go to when I forgot where the hell everything is located for future stories. I have a reason now but during the process it was still an urge to get it right to get it done. To be specific about locations and have a compass so if charecters got lost they have a guide to reaching the populated areas.

Which is easier?

It’s easy being a creative person. It takes study, practice, trial-and-error and work to be a writer or a professional builder.

The trials of Chase Morgan Chapter 8

Chad

Man. This was going to be tougher then I thought it was going to be. I waited until our drinks came and I toasted Chase.

Photo by Tembela Bohle on Pexels.com

I took a drink as Chase stared at me looking like he had something to say but I couldn’t wait a moment longer.

“You my guy, Chase but you can’t smash my girl. It’ll be over between us.” I said.

Chase stared at me. “Which girl would that be? You’ve smashed a lot of girls at the job.”

“Kate.”

Photo by Marcelo Dias on Pexels.com

He made a face but quickly hid it with his classic smile. “Sure I got you my guy. I got to ask a favor from you though. Well two favors.”

I held up a hand up. “Okay. Before you start on with the charm. What is it about Kate you hate?”

Chase held his hands up. “I don’t hate your shorty, my guy.”

I nodded. “You don’t like her though. That’s good for me but why?” I was pushing it but I needed to know My thing with Kate wouldn’t fuck with my friendship with Chase.

Chase sighed. “She don’t treat my woman respectfully and she puts me off pretending to care about what I like just to be up in my face while throwing shade at my girl behind my back. I ain’t cool or attracted to females like her at all. But, I’ll be respectful to her because she’s your girl.”

Wow. That was red flags all around. Chase did not take disrespect lightly or anyone fucking with Audi.”Okay. I can tell her to back off a little and try to act nice with Audi.”

Chase smiled trying to relax again. “Thank you but don’t worry my guy. I ain’t even thinking about your girl. I got to much going on to think about your shorty but now to my favors. I need a floor to sleep on and a dude to my best man next year. You fit the bill for all that. What you say?”

I couldn’t help smiling. “I would be honored.”

Photo by Stefan Stefancik on Pexels.com

“Good. What about the floor situation?” Chase asked with a grin.

Photo by Medhat Ayad on Pexels.com

I nodded but stared at him. “I got you. What happened with your folks bro? Does it have anything to do with Audi?”

Chase hook his head. “No. It’s me. I can’t live with them anymore or see them until I get my shit together. No. We didn’t have a fight. I just need to get my shit together. Audi doesn’t know and I don’t want to worry her.”

I nodded. “I hear you. Hey. I been there to bro. You can bonk with at my place for free.”

Chase looked at me. “I’ll pay you $250 every week until I move out next year.” He said in a final voice.

I smiled and nodded. “Sure.. 250 it is. Why you waiting until next year though? Getting married isn’t that expensive if you just head on to the court house.”

Chase smiled. “I want to do it on Audi’s birthday.”

Photo by Ron Lach on Pexels.com

I chuckled. “You asshole, you just want to do it on a day you’ll be able to remember for your anniversary and her birthday. Cheap asshole.”

Chase nodded. “True. But she’ll love the idea anyway.”

The trials of Chase Morgan Chapter 7

Audi

My mother was blowing up my phone as I got off work and headed back to my apartment. I didn’t answer my phone until I got back home.

I got inside my apartment closed the door. Took a breath and answered her call.

“Hey, Mom. We’re not engaged yet offically. The official engagement and wedding won’t be until next year.”

“Are you pregnant?”

The fuck?! I looked at my phone and brought it back to my ear. “No. I’m not. I promised you I wouldn’t but more to the point I told you Chase doesn’t-“

“I don’t give a fuck what that piece of shit wants or says. You are not marrying that loser. He’s going nowhere. Five years a package handler?! He’s a loser.”

“He isn’t a package handler. Anymore. He’s a manager now.” I said.

“Full time or part time?”

Holy shit. “I’m going to marry Chase.” I said.

“Over Chase Morgan’s dead body. I’m putting an end to this shit. I’m going to fix you up with-“

“You will do no such thing.” I told her firmly. The last thing I need was for her to get me in trouble with Chase and have him thinking I’m playing games with him. “Daddy approved of Chase that’s the end of it.” I said.

“That little chicken shit has got you brain washed. He isn’t marrying you because of “he loves you”. He’s doing this to fuck with me because I finally told his ass off to his face when he came to me this morning.”

Photo by Alex Green on Pexels.com

Holy shit. “Ah. Okay. So how did he react to you speaking your mind and such?”

“Why you sound all nervous. That little chicken shit didn’t do nothing to me. He just stood there like the chicken shit he is and took it with that fake ass smile of his and still had the nerve to tell me he would be marrying you anyway. He acted all cool but that bitch was shook.”

Photo by INSYNCT MEDIA on Pexels.com

I exhaled and felt calm again. “Alright. It’s fine then. I got to make dinner Mom. I’ll talk to you later.”

“Make dinner?! You need to dump that loser so we can start looking for a real man for you like your Daddy.” Mom said in a funny way at the end let me know Daddy was in the room.

Photo by Kamaji Ogino on Pexels.com

Oh Lord. “I already got one. I’ll call you to tomorrow have fun.”

“Yeah. I got go. We’ll talk later bye.” Mom said hanging up quickly.
