I believe in producing a product of art people value and will pay you for. I’m still a bard I love what I do but I’m also a capitalist. The market dictates the value of what you do.

I believe in the power of the commercial market, too. The value of blogging lies in its potential to improve our writing and hone our instincts. I’ve learned a lot from blogging that I wouldn’t have learned otherwise, and all this can be applied to making a buck in the real world. I also believe in the love of the art. Even if I’m fierce, I still have a tender spot for real talent, real artistry. This sustains us in times of difficulty, and frees us from our preconceptions.
