It was a Saturday night. I was in the office half chilling and bored looking for jobs with my asistent Ghost on the underground message board while I ain’t popcorn and half listened to music on my desktop.

“Boss. I think I got something. It’s a job for 50k. Gold class job. Location: Outlands. Job title is a retrieval mission. Details suggest it is a quick run and I think we should take it. Finishing it on time would boost our rank and standing.”

“A bit small for our pay grade but what the hell. I’m bored. Call up my brothers. I want half the pay now. When it comes in you and the brothers take your cut. I’ll get what’s left after investments and the rent is paid.” I said feeling a bit of thrill. I was going back home for a bit.

“I’m on it.” Ghost said excitedly.

I smiled and got to my feet heading out into the hallway. I knocked on the first door. “We got a job.” I said.

“I’m up. I’m up. Give me a minute. I’ll be down. I’ll get Arrow up. We’ll meet you down at the bikes.”

I headed to my room quickly got dressed and package my saddle bag for supplies. Then I got dressed and headed down to the garage in our condo. I was unlocking the weapons safe when I heard Arrow and Dan arrive. They were dressed and ready to go.

The sun was setting as we started rolling our bikes outside. We faced the direction of the Outlands.

“Nav. What’s up brother?” Arrow asked me.

I shook my head. “Been a minute sense the last time I went home after the war ended.”

“You mean when you ended it. Do you know who the champion they ordered you to defeat?’ Marcus said pointedly.

I shook my head. “Nobody ordered me to do anything. It was my duty. He never told me his name though I knew who and what he was. I got a map location print out of the place. It’s a simple retrieval job.”

“Bullshit. It’s an gold class solo job.” Arrow said.

“it sounds like money and experience.I’m game.” Marcus said.

“Let’s ride!”
