Hints of the war started showing up in the city. I was working a job protecting a couple on their way home when one of the Ice heads showed up suddenly and attacked. I had to fight though he gave me a bit of trouble I managed to take him down.

The second time I was pissed off. I had just got my sister’s vide-phone number from client and tried several times to get in touch with her but she wouldn’t take my calls. I knew she knew I was trying to reach out to her but she was ignoring me.
The ice head showing up and challenging me was all the excuse I needed to take out my anger out on someone. He was just a convenient target. I took him down easier then the first one.

Now I was getting attention. The Kings were calling me up. I was getting big ticket offers from them to join up with one of their packs in the war effort. I don’t know why I avoided them. I was just waiting.

Finally I decided to put the fight and war out of my head for a night and just chill at my favorite bar in the city. The Untouchables. I met a nice pretty dark hair beauty. He chatted it up nice but I got the vibe she had a man and was only being friendly with me and not feeling me. I stayed to long though. I enjoyed the conversation and her presense. She kissed me on the cheek and smiled at me.
I finally realized what was bothering me. I looked at her. “What’s your name?”
“My name is Lightning Baby.” She said.
She was one of the two immortal aliens that founded the dream realm and more importantly she was patreon to the Nomad class. The mother of the Nomads.

She started to say something else but I was up and running out of the war. Damn. Damn it. I had not been expecting or wanting to meet her. I didn’t see her again for a few days and then I woke more morning feeling strange.

I got up and stared at the lightning sword as it vibrated with life. I knew what I had to do.
