I’m dreaming of interesting year to come future plans for blog

Hello,

lovers of the written word and word Smith masters. I bring you greeting and good wishes for the new year to come. What can I say about 2018, as a whole it was trying for my mind and nerve straining for my will and full of moments that had me writing and hindering for sleep.

Depression and loss of sleep were my unexpected and unwanted roommates.

I’m still writing. Though to be honest there hasn’t been much in the way writing for the blog. Try, as I might at times blogging has been trying for me for but one reason…

I hate writing in a boring fashion. I don’t know about you but I read first for entertainment and the joy of reading words of poetic style and discovering new words that give sentences a new kind of flavor and pose.

In short: I didn’t know what to write about and the question is what hung in the air gripping me in place and freezing my fingers for use in typing on this platform so I went back to writing short stories because it’s what I enjoy.

So, I’ve decided to write about what I’m interested in and the comedy of circus ride of my modern day times.

Truth and politics. To unlikely and contrasting words.

We’ll see how it goes.

On Writing: Sherlock the show sucks because Jeremy Brett did it better

Hello,

Lover’s of the written word and my fellow writers.

Okay. Why am I writing the hit Britain Television drama show. I was a fan and watched every single season and seeing Mary die crushed me and then ending left me a drift in helpless in a small boat out on the sea of shock and mild disappointment. I still gave it’s due. I was surprising and shocker but left me more then a little depressed.

I watched reviews on YouTube and got the high and lows mixture of be moans and flat out rage at the entire series. Still, my love for the characters and the stories was alive but I wanted to revisit the series in it’s previous versions and written form for several months now and I have to say….

Sherlock 2000s is the poor man’s flea mart knockoff version of Sherlock Holmes.

Okay! The interpretation of Sherlock by Benedict Cumberbatch great actor his interpretation of Sherlock was a weird comic book over the top version of Sherlock’s intellectual side with a mixture of insanity and modern psycho emotional idiot and he makes to many guesses.

Martian Freeman’s Dr. Watson fared no better. Again another great actor but the character again is turned over the top into a thrill seeking junkie and a complete dunderhead that happens to be a man that went to medical school.

I would rename the Sherlock series: The Mirror world of Sherlock’s Holmes insane passage into crazy town.

Examples of good Sherlock Holmes in film and Television: The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes staring Jeremy Brett and Edward Hardwicke

The entire run of the series is pure gold in acting, representation of the original characters and above all else realistic and without the trappings of insanity and drug induced dark fantasy drama/comedy.

Examples in good Sherlock Holmes in literature:  The original Sherlock Holmes complete novels and stories. The best by far.

Holmes and Watson a study in black. A modern tale with a interesting twist that is believable and readable. Though not as good as the original again.

I leave it for you to decide. Weigh the original material against Sherlock 2000s or even against Sherlock Holmes of the 22nd Century. You be the judge. I think Sherlock 2000s will not last the passage of time well.

Best regards,

Life of a Prince The Gathering is now out on ebook

Hello,

Writer’s and

Lover’s of the written word.

An excerpt from Life of a Prince the Gathering:

“No. Why would I be lying to you!” Cal asked in a very pointed way. I had the scary feeling he was saying I was lying to him about something. I never lied to him about anything. He was only doing this to divert my attention away from the current subject.

“Tell me. Word for word. What happened?” I said trying to keep the panic out of my voice.

Cal sighed softly. “Demi! Listen to me! Stop this! OK! Just stop this? You’re worrying over nothing. Jazz Coleman doesn’t have any power over you and he isn’t apart of your life anymore. I don’t want to talk about him anymore I want to talk about something more important and of immediate concern to me right now then Jazz Coleman or your father.”

I shook my head. “First tell me what you said to my Daddy and we can talk about anything else you want.”

Cal looked at me and I could tell he was starting to get angry with me. “Are you sleeping in your car?” He asked me pointedly.

Cal’s abrupt change of subject and tone took me completely by surprise I didn’t have enough time to school my reactions. Cal had thrown me completely off. My mind went blank. I’m guessing he got the reaction he wanted from me. He stared at me with expression of mild annoyance.

My face must have revealed the truth and my embarrassment. I looked away and then I looked back toward his frowning face and steady gaze. I have no idea how he found out but I couldn’t get drawn into that subject it would all be over if I did.
