Chapter 6
Trigger laughed as he stared at Logan’s earnest face. He waved a hand at the glowing sword in Logan’s hand. “Teach you?! I don’t think there is much I can do to help you Mr. Logan of the Jones.” He said.
Logan shook his head. “I disagree. I want to learn how you learned to master wind magic. I’ll give you one wish for your trouble.” He said smoothly.
Trigger froze as his mouth was open and then he nodded his head. “We are agreed. One wish. At my time of choosing and you won’t be able too refuse me.” He said and held out his hand.
Logan took Trigger’s hand in a shake and then let go offering him back the glowing sword. Trigger shook his head backing up a step. “It is yours Mr. Logan of the Jones. As I said do with it what you will. Your instruction will start right away when you’re ready.” He said.
Logan turned to look at Darla. He nodded to her before he threw the sword to her. Darla stepped toward him and caught the sword by the handle in the air. She nodded to sword and tested it with swing in the air. “It is a fine magical sword. I’ve never seen the like of it.” She said.
Logan nodded. “It’s yours. I have no need for it. I’m going to make my own weapon.” He said with a grin.
Darla frowned at him. “I can not accept this. Are you offering me bribe? That would be very unwise of you.” She said.
“Wrong. Let’s try it again. Your supposed to say thank you my Lord for the gift. I promise you to reward you in bed tonight as is my duty.” Logan said with a wave of his hand toward her.
Darla stared at him and then smiled slowly. “I see. Thank you Master for you gift. I promise to reward you with the bounty of my warm body tonight for your pleasure.” She said in a thick Swedish accent to Logan’s ears.
Logan grinned nodding his head. “I approve. I’m glad you appreciate my benevolent kindness.” He said.
“Hero Logan Locus.” Sargent Jai said.
Logan looked at Sargent Jai and waved for him toward the other heroes. “Please excuse my interruption to you’re proceedings. You can get back to it. I’ll be learning from Trigger. I’ll keep to myself and learn what I need to know for the job King Harold hired us to do.” He said.
Sargent Jai stared at him. “Hero Logan Jones. I will assign to you you’re magic teachers and trainers and you will follow my instructions.” He said.
“What class are you?” Logan said.
“Excuse me?” Sargent Jai said in slightly annoyed question.
“What class are you. I’m just wondering.” Logan asked again unbothered by the tone in Sargent Jai’s voice.
“I am Warrior class with two decades of experience in combat and war against the demon nation. You’re teachers are experienced healers and warriors as well. You will be well up for the task once you have concluded your training here at the castle training grounds. You do well to follow our instructions and do what you are told for you’re own good of course. Do you understand me?” Sargent Jai said infusing in his voice dominance and control.
“Do any of these trainers or teachers you have have the ability to teach me to heal a squad? If I get into a battle I want to heal the whole squad. I can’t waste time healing one person at a time. Who can help me do that?” Logan asked.
Sargent Jai was quiet. “Our trainers and teachers will help you strengthen you’re healing ability. There is no need to heal a squad of five people at a time. I know you are new to this world but it is impossible.” He said.
Logan knew otherwise and he had seen it but he nodded acknowledging Sargent Jai’s words. “Interesting. Do any of these teachers you have have the ability to craft magical marksman weapons? I’m going to need to make a weapon strong enough to take out five enemies in a battle.” Logan asked.
Sargent rolled his shoulders and glared at Logan. “What is your point?” He said.
Logan nodded. “I was trained by warriors with more experience then you or you’re trainers sense I was a child. I need to craft marksman magical weapons for myself. I also need to learn how to heal a unit of people. You can’t teach me any of that shit so I’m going to teach it to myself. That’s my point. I’m not interested in wasting time learning shit I don’t need. The wizards here must have a library here or books. I’ll go there to learn the magic I need by myself on my own time. Have I cleared everything up for you?” He said.

Sargent Jai’s glowed red for a second and he laughed. It sounded and was a forced laugh. “Fine. Fine. That sounds like a proper good plan Hero Logan Jones. I approve of you doing so. You may proceed with my permission.” He said.
Logan stared at him shaking his head. The old bastard seemed to fighting an emotional break down. He could see all the hate and bad will he had toward Logan in his eyes. He knew that the chances of this big green bastard killing before he left the castle were high.
Sargent Jai turned his back to Logan and proceeded to ignore him. He started questioning the others on their classes while pointedly pretending Logan didn’t exist.
“You have the ability to read magical languages?” Darla asked him.
Logan nodded his head but his gaze was on Sargent Jai’s face. “Yeah. Sure do.” He said and turned to Darla was watching him closely. “What’s on your mind baby girl?” He said.
Darla flushed at the statement. “Baby girl?! Strange statement. What does that mean from where you come from?” She asked him.
Logan grinned. “It’s means your mean.” He said.
Darla stared at him and then she nodded her. “I see. Yes. that makes sense by the tone you used. You should be more careful.” She said more quietly.
“I would agree with your Mrs. on that Mr. Logan Jones.” Trigger said just as quietly. “Sargent Jai is head slave here and manager over us.” He said.
Logan nodded his head. “Yes. I’m following you on that. All the same, I can’t waste time learning shit I don’t need in war against the demon Lord and her people.” He said.
Trigger stared at Logan silentlu before he nodded his head. “Indeed. Do you wish ti begin your studies now.” He said.
Logan nodded. “Sure do. Let’s get to it.” He said.
