Signs of trouble and The Wolf is born. 3rd Prelude to PUNCH! A corpos comeback story.

3 of 5 prelude

I just wanted the fight to be a good one. I had to prove myself and mark the event as something the owner of EMP fighting corpo Jim Morrisson would be able to market upward to the public. Coach Grayson justed wanted me to focus on winning but the business side of this all ran through my mind as I took the walk from the locker room with the rest of the small time event fighters.

We were the pre-fight show before the main event tonight with the real champions. That’s what I was aiming for becoming a champion to gain the credits to buy into a franchise and earn my way back to corpo status. It was only then I could stand in the eyes of the law as fit pratrach corpo.

“You need to get your head in the game.” Coach told me noticing my mind was drifting. He glared at me as he walked with me to the main event arena.

I nodded and was silent. I couldn’t though. I needed every fight to count to my business plan and-“

“Franklin Inc. Is out of the transporter status. That lives a hole to fill in the chain of drugs and food services this spring. Drug and food corpos are on a mad dash to find solo or runners with a truck willing to do the dangerous job through the bad lands for runners fees.-”

I stopped in my tracks as I heard a news feed from a terminal computer to my right. I turned to see the report of Franklin going under. Reading the headline. Shit. Frankline was the only fucking transporter of Cp-98 into the city for the Archer 🏹 Inc. Pharmaceutical company in to the fucking city. If the city messed the spring run of the drug, hundreds of people we’re going to start getting sick or die before another transporter could be fit into the supply chain for next summer into the next spring run.

Jon needed that medicine. He couldn’t wait. He was on a fixed periodic schedule. I can’t believe the transportation corpos didn’t have a back up transporter for the delivery. It was late winter and spring was a few months away. Who in the hell would take up the job this late for the low pay grade of a runner. Fuck it.. I had to get my hands on some credits fast and handle this shit myself.

Coach yanked at my arm. “What the fuck is wrong with you? You need to get you head in the game.”

I turned to him. “I need you to get me another match after I win this one. It has to be a big ticket one.”

Coach stared at me. “You into some gambling debt or something or getting a big dick?”

“I have to win this match and every match you can get me. I can’t lose. I won’t lose.” I told him only. It was enough though Coach nodded.

“i hear you. I been there to. Let’s win this thing.”

I turned walking to the arena with my mind focused on the win. I couldn’t lose now. I needed the credits and didn’t have time to think about rising slowly.

I saw my opponent in the ring. Hickson Wells. A 5’11 tough bult and fast in fighter. His bandaged hands and forearms were already lit with his element and sparking as he shadow boxed.

Five wins one loss. He was the first challenge I had to knock down. I felt lightning element flowing in my arms and legs as I walked down the pathway to the ring. My focuse was on Hickson and nothing else.

Coach held the ropes down for me as I bowed between them and came into the ring. I stared at Hickson until he noticed my focus on him and he smiled a toothy grin.

The ref ran through the rules. “No balls hitting or hit to the throat. Besides that have at it but obey my ruling. Touch fists back to your corners.

I touched Hickson’s fist and nodded to him. He nodded back.

I felt my element raising making my forearms vibrate with power. I could even feel it in my back now.

“Cyrus. Cryrus.”

I heard my coach calling to me. “What?”

“Don’t lay his ass out to fast. We got to make this shit last a little to build up for the next fight.” He said.

“Got you.” I said totally focused on Hickson.

I waited for what seemed like the longest period of my life and then the ref gave us the go. I approuched Hickson watchful of him. He came out fast with a dozen lightning jabs, a hock punch to my ribs and a surprising jumping spinning back kick that almost took my head off but I leaned back in time and closed the distance with a right hock to this face as he turned into it.

Hickson froze and then fell on his face and didn’t move. The ref jumped between us on top of Hickson and waved his hands. The fight was over. Time went back to normal for me. I blinked.

I looked over at my corner to see the coach and His son the heavy weight champion Brock both running into the ring toward me to lift me up. I laughed and held my fists up and roared with excitement for the win. I heard a chant start in the arena.

Chapter 17

I walked into shop with Bran close at my side. He took in the market shop in one glance saying nothing at the items on the wall behind electrified security walls.

I walked up to the front to see no one here. I knocked on the desk. “Mr. Sigma. I’ve come to get my Daddy’s birthday gift.”

Owen Sigma came out of a back door frowning at me rubbing his hands on a dry black hand towel. I noticed a black blaster at his side. That was unusual for him to carry a weapon in the shop.”Miss Warrior. Your here again? So soon?” He said and looked at Bran and stopped in his tracks. He stared and then relaxed when Bran only gave him a short nod.

“Hmm. So this must be your man. Judge Rafe?” He said.

I nodded. I studied him. “Mr. Sigma. I haven’t seen you in a month sense I ordered the item. Have you been having trouble.”

Sigma grimanced. “A lot of clones come around resently trying to mess with my customer relations. Here. Put your code in and I’ll get you your item. Miss Warrior.” He said and slid over a black detapad to me.

I picked and started putting in my code of sale while a silence followed. I looked up to see Sigma studying Bran.

“Do you happen to be related to a Fixer named Cole Cash?”

Bran frowned at the name. “No. But I know him. What happened to him?”

“He’s gone missing. I filed a missing person’s report with your station but your boys in the station have been giving me the run around because he’s a black market business owner.”

“Give me a time table of when he went missing and I’ll go on the hunt for him.” Bran said immediately.

“He has a shop a couple of blocks down the same street as mean. He deals information and connects people. Last Wednesday he didn’t show up to open his shop up at 5 a.m. I got sent a message from his detapad that he went on a vacation. Cash isn’t the type to take a more then one half day vacation. It’s been a fucking week. I went to his place the door was open and the only thing there was his detapad. I showed it to your people but they say it’s outside their district.”

Bran held out his hand. “Give me the detapad.”

Mr. Sigma reached in to his desk and brought out a detapad sliding over the detapad to Bran. Bran took it and put it into his jacket pocket. “I’ll look into it Mr. Sigma and I’ll let you know what I find with in the next seventy-two hours.” He said.

Sigma nodded and then looked at me and then my hands before he took the detapad. He glanced at it and then put it away. “I’ll go get your item Miss Warrior. Oh. That is a nice tattoo you have on your finger. It’s simple but I can tell it was done by a professional artist.”

I smiled. “Thank you. I got it done by a professional. La Praise Delores. It cost me 300 ebs but the kind of ink she makes was well worth it. It’s simple but a one of a kind.”

Sigma nodded bent down to his safe to retrieve my item. “Oh I know. I know. The ink she uses for her customers is specialized for each person and not used again on any other person. Can’t be faked or copied. You know their making impressive clones nowadays that are really improved but for special tattoos and unique personal scars they could fool almost anybody.” He said and got up placing a silver case on the desk.

I took the case peeking inside before I closed it happy to see my Daddy’s gift was inside. He was going to love it. I smiled up at Sigma but he was looking at Bran. I looked at Bran to see him studying Mr. Sigma.

“What’s up?”

Bran shook his head. “Nothing and everything. Mr. Sigma. Please let me know if you get any clone troubles that raise above troublesome to you and your business. I will get you information on your case soon. Thank you for looking out for Goldy’s business.”

Mr. Sigma smiled. “I’m all about customer service and professional top grade dedication to my customers for continued service.” He said and grinned at me. “Tell the elder I wish him a happy birthday and his continued customer loyalty, princess.” He said bowing to me.

I blushed nodding and took the case and took Bran’s arm leading him outside. I turned to him frowning. “What the hell is going on? Did some try to impersonate me?”

Bran studied me. “Was your adopted father offered a royal title? By Gino Fish?”

I stared at him. “Yes. Uncle Fish and my Daddy became brothers recently and they get on well. Now will you tell me what the hell that was about with Sigma and the whole clones issue?”

“The mad scientist made a clone of you. She’ll probably show up for your family’s get together so be prepared. Don’t be worried your family will know you. We have to look into this Cole Cash case a little today before your adopted father’s birthday tonight.”

A storm of worries was going through my head but I kept myself in check. “How do you know Cole Cash? What is he to you?”

Bran stared at me. “He’s my brother.”

Chapter 4

“Chris! Out of the way!”

I frowned and looked past enemies as they came at me. I saw the green uniform, red hair and the katana blade as Ruby came running toward the group of T1s.

I kicked off the wall leaping over the their heads and ran along the side wall as Ruby came swinging her katana slicing and cutting down the group of T1s as she went into her dance of death.

I avoided the dance entirely and landed on the other side. I turned back in time to see her end her dance with a jump spin kick to a T1 that snapped his fucking head with a loud crunching sound.

Blood and violence was painted on the floor and walls but Ruby stood spotless. She wiped off her blade and on a dead T1 and shieved her blade before walking over and jumping into my arms and kissing me on the lips.

She grinned at me. “It’s good to see you Chris.”

I nodded slowly watchful of her. Ruby was a wild one. Deadly. Lethal and sexy ass hell. She was team Bravos sniper assassin.

“What happened with squad Bravo?” I asked.

Ruby wrapped her legs around my waist and shook her head. “Your a smart man. You must have figured out this is trap. Andy, Dan and I were the only ones that made it here alive and then things went to shit quickly enough.”

I stared at her. “West and Betty met you at the doors?”

“The answer to the question your not asking is yes. They broke code. Though I have no fucking idea why.” Ruby said and then smiled at me. “You seem to be available now. What do you say to-“

“Sure. I have to get Jill and Berry out of here though before we start fucking. You find a ride out of this hellhole.” I said.

Ruby stared at me. “Hmm. Is Jill your-“

“-Yes. I thought that was clear enough. Jill doesn’t like to mention it because she wanted to stand on her own.”

Ruby smiled. “Don’t worry baby cakes. I will make you forget all about that fat ass cow in one night.”

I stared at her. “I’ve already forgotten about her. If you haven’t already guessed.” I said.

Ruby giggled rubbing herself against my crutch. “You are such a sweet heart and just the right size for me.”

Chapter 3

I walked into a narrow empty hallway closing the door behind me. I scanned my map for a second. There was sitting room and door around the corner that led into the east wing while if I went to my right it would led to a dead end and three rooms.

I would check those rooms out later when I got back. I started for the east wing and rounded the corner. I froze. I stared at the mutilated body on the carpet.

Andy was still dressed in his combat vest black cargo pants and Beret. I bent down over him. His eye lids were still open. I closed them. His Colt Anaconda was still in his hands. His belt had two extra speed reloader rounds in it.

Damn it. Whatever took him out must have been a strong bastard. I got up and started to leave but I felt someone behind me. I turned going for their throat and slammed the asshole against the wall.

He moved around wildly snarling and trying to leap at me. I kneed him in the balls and he screamed and glared at me.

“Good. I got your attention. Who the fuck are you people?”

He stared at me. “You are one of us. This mask you wear will not hold for long. You will give in to it.”

I took in his combat vest, height, weight, stare and the T1 tattoo on his neck. An ex-member of the unit? No. He had to be a wash out and failed experimental soldier.

“You killed and mutilated a member of my unit to get your rocks off, asshole. You maybe someone’s pawn in all this shit but your still a T1. You broke code. Protect the unit and never turn against your brothers.” I said before I picked him up and slammed him on his head on the floor killing him.

I spat on his body before I looked over at Andy and went over to take his remaining ammunition.”I’m going to end the fucker that did this to you bro and get Jill the fuck out of here. I promise.”

I said and headed into the next room only to be confronted by five more assholes. I walked inside and locked the door behind me. “Let’s go assholes.”

Chapter 7

I crept into the first room. The first guard, yellow Orc with a sword and shield appeared in the middle of the room and lounged his sword at my chest.

Time slowed down as I side stepped and thrust my spear into his chest six times before he puffed out of existence and then the room brought up another program for five more Orcs around me.

I went on the attack leaping at enemy then another. I was geared up for straight win before I took stab to my right shoulder.

I didn’t feel any pain but it counted as a hit for the computer. I took my last opponent down rolling to the side and stabing his head.

The door to right opened and I began the advance….

An hour later and several hit points lost I managed to make it to the last room. The treasure the door opened when my last enemy died.

I didn’t trust it. My nightvision goggles went out power. I took them off and room was a deep void of black.

I started tapping the floor with my spear as I approached the exit. My spear hit nothing at a space between the exit and me. I took a feet back and then took off into a run. One last Orc appeared and attacked.

I leaped over his head using his shoulders to somersault roll in the air and dive past the exit.

I landed on my side in the treasure room. Andy and the chief were there eating wild fruits and nuts at my table. I nodded to them and went looking for the tri scroll in the library.

I noticed the book of Historia Legends was open on the reading stand. I glanced at the page seeing it open to the Arabian legend tales as I passed.

I quickly found the scoll on the bottom shelf in a bid with the useless ones. It glowed gold but that was the only interesting thing it did.

I walked out for scoll section. A hat was thrown at me. I caught it and put it on without thinking. I nodded to them before I headed for the secret way out.

“Hero’s Ghost? Won’t you need your clothes?” Andy asked.

I stopped and cursed turning around to see the clothes bag on the table to. I walked over toward it dropping the scoll on the floor.

I started dressing quickly while Andy and Chief watched me. I frowned at them. “What?”

“You should check the book before you leave.” The Chief said.

“I know the story. Hero’s Ghost told it to me a million times when I was kid.” I said.

The Chief stared at me. “Then you should know Historia Legends always meet occasionally.”

I frowned at his words but went over to the book once I was dressed and started leafing through the tales. I knew them all by heart. It was my education handed down to me from father to son for two hundred years sense my legend began. My eyes landed on one legend. It had an artist rendering of him and his female. I stared at him. I knew him.

“Did Leo really Blackmail you about taking over the lost forest?” I asked Chief.

“Why would you say that?”

“The lost forest is the domain of the Hero’s Ghost if I recall correctly. My father said that repeatly before he died I walked out of the temple with his hat on as the Hero’s Ghost.”

“In part it was the truth but there was something else he had on me or you rather. I had to protect.”

“I saw a man kill Leo in front of me.” I said going over it in my head.

“Did you?” Andy asked. “Are you sure? Was it real or like how we make Orcs appear in a room with the computer Hero’s Ghost made for your training?”

“Damn it. Get the men ready. I’m tired of these games. I was promised my female. I will not be cheated a second time.” I said.

Get ready. Mix.

Chapter 1

*Ding, Ding.*  *Ding, Ding.*

I came awake at the sound of my decker sending me a message. I rolled out of bed snatching my decker from my nightstand.

– Hyrule Castle under lock down. City watched. King Leo in trouble. All communications down. It’s Gannon. Meet me at the back entrance of castle. Bring your sword and shield. – Zelda

This situation needed the right armor. I went to my closet and I got what I needed. I dressed quickly in my stealth armor and went to my weapons safe and unlocked it with the pendant I got with the safe. The safe opened and the sword’s handle glowed. It was ready to kick some ass. I got it out and  put it over my shoulder. I stared at my hook shot. I just got the thing last week. I wondered if I would need it this go round with Gannon but I was better off being prepared for whatever.

I almost got killed last time by one of Gannon’s people for not being prepared enough for surprises. If Zelda hadn’t been there my ass would have been toasted. I picked it up and attached it to my combat belt side holster.

I headed out of my apartment picking up my ancient techno shield badge. By my door.

Outside it was raining lightly with a pale blue moon glowing over the city of Hyrule. The magic in my armor’s power banks came online as the lunar crystals took in the moonlight and absorbed the energy from the rain water into it’s energy conversion systems. The castle was twelve blocks away from my apartment building near the lost forest park. I thought again about taking my bike but I didn’t want to gain any notice so I took off running. My stealth armor helped me to make to the castle in a few minutes.

I made it to the back entrance of the castle but found a 6 foot tall robot was waiting for me. It came to life at my appearance and locked his combat rifle on me and fired.

Time slowed down as I was already getting my shield out and rebounded the lazer shot back at it. It took the shot and was electrified and exploded.

I checked my shield meter. I had five more rounds before it would be useless to me.

I snagged up the assault rifle the robot had and moved inside the gates to the garden inside. Where the fuck was Zelda?

My question was answered as I saw her cornered near the back entrance by two of Gannon’s Red ninja assassins.

The bad bitch was holding her own with her glock and light shield but she was getting tired.

Fired at the back of one ninja taking him down only to hear laughter behind. I rolled away losing the rifle and brought up my shield. I didn’t have enough time to rebound and the thing exploded after several direct shots.

The fucker came at me fast with a combat sword for my throat. I didn’t have enough time to draw my sword from my back so I dodged to my right drawing my hook shot and fired at his sword grabbing it from him. I took the sword and threw it at his chest.

He screamed as the blade sank in and then threw something down at his and went up in flames laughing. Holy shit. Sick fuckers. I holstered my hook shot.

I drew my sword and prepared to take out the other one but Zelda had already done so and threw me a rifle. I caught it with one hand as I put my sword away.

“Next time shot the asshole in the chest instead of grabbing his fucking weapon. Save the ninja moves for later when we’re in bed. Let’s go, Rookie.” She said and proceeded me inside the castle.

I sighed. She was going to be a pain in my ass for remainer of this raid on the castle. I smiled and headed inside.

Hmm. It’s okay. Needs more one lines though.

Cyberpunk morning 12

Word was out the Yellow Demon was coming for Demon Ross and one fixer had plans to make sure he got him….

Chapter 2

I stood in Eddie’s garage along with his bandmates and Miss James listening in from my detapad. Eddie folded his arms across his chest after I told him the news that the Yellow Demon was going after Ross. Cash was already maping out the building and a plan of attack in the next 48 hours. The time table was tight but it could and would be done.

“What the fuck difference does it make to us Sigma? We ain’t in the business of getting involved in other people’s business.”

I stared at him. “I need 50 credits and your best man to make sure the job gets done.”

Eddie laughed while the others were quiet. He put on a good front. “You want us to pay you to handle a job we don’t give a shit about?”

I shook my head. “I’m a fixer. I handle jobs so you don’t have to give a shit about it. Ross is selling children to Jackels in your city. The boy isn’t the only child he’s selling tomorrow night. I need 60 credits and a champion on loan to make sure the job is done.”

Gino stepped up. “You said 50.”

“The number goes up the longer you royal assholes keep bullshiting me. You all got family and ties to the nomads that run deep. I know about nomad laws on finding a Jackel. Your not warriors or generals. You’ll only get in the way of my plans.”

“Again. I’m missing the reason we should pay you to kill some piece of shit Jackel.” Eddie said again trying to bullshit us.

“80 credits.” Miss James said from the intercom of my detapad. “Ross needs to be removed by perfessionals such as my husband. We are awhere of your plans. It is not necessary and besides the point we have nomad legal right to first kill. He is a threat to my future children.”

I kept my smile back. Miss James was pulling the right cards and emotions.

Eddie held up a hand stopping the others from talking. He looked at me. “100 credits and make sure every Jackel that comes to that auction dies. If you only get Ross it will be 80 credits. You get one champion as a sniper. Yellow Demon gets a clear path to a honor kill. Deal.” He said holding out his hand.

I grasped his hand in a firm shake. “Thanks for letting me handle it. I don’t mean any disrespect to you. But, we can’t afford him to get away. He’s gotten to big but he’ll have a plan to slip away.”

Eddie and let go my hand. “I know. It wasn’t right what he said about your old lady. In the badlands my wife’s people would have killed him on sight for saying it. So would I. It wouldn’t matter to me if said the shit about my kid or someone else’s. You’ve got a lot patience.”

I shook my head. “Not at all. He knew who was saying that shit to and what I would do to him. He said it because he thought he was untouchable. But, really it’s a simple matter of business. Him being alive is a distraction for me but I also have to kill the people backing him so my representation stands. I am not to be fucked with in regards to my money and Miss James or any children we may or may not have. He now owes me his life and now I intend to collect payment. I’ll handle it. You handle bringing out a new album. It’s been to long already.”

Eddie smiled and waved me out. I surprised him with a formal bow and turned and left the way I came in.

I looked at my detapad and saw I had one last message from Miss James.

I expect payment of a child from this partnership. A million credits is deposited in your account for the job thank you.

I smiled oh she just had to make sure I didn’t attempt to play the white knight for her honor. Damnnation she was forever making our arrangement interesting.

Holy shit my dude. This shit is heating up quick….

Cyberpunk morning 10…a call back to the first post

A young runner hoping to finish a simple run for a big pay off is in for a surprise….

Chapter 1

I pulled out my detapad and checked my rating on the runner board while I waited on the street corner of Marlin and 6th. I was 120th out a 500 active runners in the city. I had aways to go before I qualified for a solo license.

Damn. There was a five percent on the board if and when I got it done. I had one job offer pending my completion of Gino’s job. I looked at my ring and saw it was glowing fire red. Shit.

Fucking magic users. I slipped on my shielding necklace as five cycle ridders rolled up on me from down the street from my right. I remembered in time to speak that activation code over the shield. It was in a strange elf language but I had practiced the shit more like I was told so I knew the words by heart.

They were all Outlaws and big shit house men. A dude with a red Mohawk and ruby eyes glared at me. Gino’s girl was behind him naked.

“Where’s that weak ass King Gino at? My deal was with him not your kiddie ass.”

I held up the item. “The item for the female. That’s the deal.”

Mohawk rolled his eyes and carelessly threw a fire at me. The fire punched my chest and was absorbed by shield.

Mohawk froze and studied me closer. “Your not touched by the elements. What the fuck are you?”

Damn. This was not going to go down easy. Fuck it. I threw him the item. Mohawk reached for it as I drop kicked his ass in the face. He fell hard and started crying like a bitch.

That’s the thing about magic users. The more effortlessly talented they were in an element the more likely they couldn’t take a punch. I learned that from a fixer that sold me my shield.

I got on his bike as Mrs. Gino grabbed my waist and we took off. It took the other pussies longer to shake off the shock of their noble leader being defeated easily. By the time they gave chase we were well ahead into another district.

When it was safe I parked the ride at a corner and took out a pair of sweat pants and a shirt from my runner bag and passed them to her.

Mrs. Gino took them and quickly changed while I averted my gaze. When she was dressed she eyed me. “How old are you?” She asked already knowing though by the tone of her voice.

“I’m seventeen.” I said.

“Shit. Your a fucking kid. How the fuck did you not burn up from that fucking fire ball?”

I showed her my shield. “Elemental nullifier. I bought it from a fixer’s dealership.”

Mrs. Gino eyed me. “Are you shitting me? That charm shit is all bullshit. Let me see that shit.” She said grabbed my necklace. She studied it and the back and nodded. “It’s a cleric item. The shield symbol must be a high spirit of law and order. My family makes shit like this for clerics. Where the fuck did you get this shit from? Whoever sold it to you it right bullshited you but saved your green ass from burning.”

Holy shit. I felt my face burn with embarrassment. “I got it from a fixer named Owen Sigma. It wasn’t cheap either. Took me six months payments.”

Mrs. Gino stared at me in surprise. “Holy shit. Sigma sold you this shit? Shit son that asshole must have took a liking to you. I’m going to beat Gino for sending you instead of a seasoned champion.”

I shook my head. “I’m a runner. Not a champion.” I said.

Mrs. Gino snickered and got on the bike to the front. “Fucking shit son. You got a lot to learn still. Get on I’m driving.” I got on behind her and she took off.

She drove making turns down alley ways and street corners until she came to a underground garage and stopped and drove inside.

Gino and his band mates were waiting for us. Mrs. Gino got off the bike and ran at Gino and kissed him hugging his neck and started crying. What the fuck?

Eddie waved me aside to follow him outside. He had a guitar case with him and handed it to me. “You did good champion. I got your number in case I need you again. There’s a ride outside for you.” Eddie said and turned to leave.

“Eddie. Ah. What the fuck is a champion?”

Eddie looked back and shrugged. “Don’t worry about it kid. Your ride is the blue one. The keys are inside.”

Eddie left me hanging with a lot of questions. I sighed and walked out of the garage. Outside on the curb was a blue coupe 79 transporter. I looked around for any other ride but it was the only ride.

I opened the driver’s side and the keys were inside. I got the keys and unlocked the trunk. I put the guitar case inside and got around to the front and got in.

The on board computer linked with my detapad and I looked at the page for the runner message board to see my rank gone and replaced with one word Champion in blue letters. I had a job lined up already. 200 ebs for a termination of some asshole gangster.

Easy money. I turned the key, the engine started and then I took off.

This is going somewhere…

Cyberpunk morning 9

The Fixer is set to collect his pay finally upon delivery to his client…

Chapter 2

Erin looked at me from the other side of the van. The van was soon to arrive at the corporate building.

“If you have a personal question regarding me save it or pay me to have it answered.”

Erin shook his head. “Are you sure you don’t want us to handle this? Your not a solo anymore Owen. Your fixer. Your a good fixer. A fixer I need around to keep me employed. Your to damn professional and timely with my money to lose because of some asshole snob doesn’t want to pay up.”

I understood that and the responsibility that came with having loyal customers like Erin. But, this wasn’t a battle or war. I couldn’t let it get around that shit heads like Marcus could skip out on paying me my fee.

“I got a reputation. I do a job for someone on the square I get paid. I’m simply collecting my pay. That guitar cost more then I was given. I need something so I can break even on this job and I need to get you and you crew the weapons and plan for taking out your enemy.” I said.

Erin grinned. “Your bullshiting me.”

“Whitch part?”

“You didn’t pay 100,00 for the guitar. You pocketed the rest.”

I smiled. “Nice. In a few years when you get tired of runner work I can help you get started as a Fixer when I retire of course.”

“More bullshit. You ain’t never retiring. I bet you 10ebs you can’t get the girl and credits at the same time.”

“I don’t bet my money. Give me twenty minutes. If I get back before then add the 10ebs to my fee for your job.”

The van stopped at the curb in front of James international group. Erin opened the door on the side and stepped out with the guitar case.

I stared at him. “What are you doing?”

“I’m carrying your baggage. You just do the talking.”

“I’m not paying you to do that?”

Erin smiled. “I know. I’m paying you to get me a damn nomad crew together. Remember. I’m just hurrying this shit along so you can focus on my shit.”

Okay. I understand that right well. I nodded and got out. He was right I really needed to wrap this shit today. I couldn’t afford to lose customers like Erin.

I got out and walked to the front of the building with Erin close at my right. His brother Peter was to my left as we came to the front. Peter opened the door for me and I walked inside. I walked up to the representative at the greeting desk.

She stared at the three us and looked nervous. I smiled. “What floor is the company meeting on? I’m here to deliver a package for miss James.”

“Do you have an appointment?” She asked.

“Is that any of your business? I’m here to deliver a package for miss James. What is complicated about what I said? I’m short on time. She has to get her item before the deal is finalized tomorrow. Do you understand me?”

“She’s on the 5th floor. Don’t use the elevator. You won’t make it. Take the stairs. You better hurry or you won’t get paid.” She said.

Shit. I ran for the stairs with the two nomad brothers following me. I took the stairs two at a time with the brothers keeping step with me until we arrived at the 5th floor. It was locked of course.

I took out my blaster and set it for a continuous beam of light. I aimmed at the sides and fired a beam of light at the hinges until the door fell inward. I walked inside as the brothers came and followed me.

There was a set of guards to the sides. They didn’t move. I ignored them and walked to the meeting room ahead. One of the guards opened the door for me. I heard running feet coming toward us. I waved a hand in that direction. “Keep them busy while I deliver the package.” I said.

“Yes Sir. Make sure to give it to the asshole. Miss James can’t tell you what to do.” The guard said and went off with the other guards.

“What the fuck is going on here?” Erin asked.

“A corporate take over nobody in corporation wants.” I said and walked inside to the meeting room.

A board of eight rich assholes stood behind a desk. Miss James was the only one seated at the back. I went to the front with Erin close to my side until I stood in front of Marcus.

He glared at me. His silver inhanced eyes glowed. Erin put the guitar case on the table. I opened it and presented it to him.

“There’s your guitar. I want my fucking payment or I’m taking your fiancĂ©e.” I told him.

“It’s a fucking fake. You can’t prove it’s real.” He said.

I waved a hand inside the case. “Eddie Williams signed the shit and I have a receipt from who I got it from I have authentication on.” I said and walked around him toward Miss James.

Marcus blocked me and took a swing at me Erin knocked him down hard to the floor. I walked over to Miss James. She looked beautiful even pissed off as she was. She hadn’t expected this outcome though she had planned.

I looked around the board of her company. They were also in a manner of speaking her elders. “Marcus Boyden refuses to pay me what he owes me for the job. I claim Erica James as my price in the nomad fashion of joining.” I said and then bent down and picked Miss James up and put her over my shoulder and walked for the doors.

Four of the board members hurried to the door blocking me. A grey haired lady that looked like Miss James grandmother stood in my way.

“You can not do this. This isn’t the fucking bad lands. You can’t claim my granddaughter like that and take her unwillingly.”

“I am willing.” Miss James said from behind me.

“We’re in standing with Sigma as clan brothers.” Erin said backing me up my bullshit for some reason. “He’s taking his wife. Marcus tried to forgo payment. Eye for eye tooth for a tooth. Miss James is of equal or greater value. Get the fuck out of the way.”

“Negotiations are in order.” The older Miss James said. “The corporation can give you your pay.”

I shook my head. I didn’t trust this old greedy bitch. Damn. I was going to have take Miss James as payment. “I got my pay. You fuckers have played with my money and I got shit to do today.”

“I would like to say something.” Miss James said. Thank the gods.

I lifted her off my shoulder and set her down on her feet. The woman barely came up to my chin. I lifted her chin with my forefinger. “Make it quick. I got business today.”

Miss James jerked her chin from my hand. She glared up at me. I gave her a wink and a smile.

She stared and then snorted. “Okay. You had me going there. I’ll have your money deposited immediately provided all talk about the marriage plans between Boyde and me are nullified.”

I took out my blaster and turned to the four board members. “There will be no more talks about a marriage or corporate take over between Marcus Boyden or my wife Miss James. You will agree to this or I will kill Boyden for trying to take my wife here and now.”

The older Miss James stared at me. “Nomad marriages aren’t afforded you the right to corporation assets or money. You have no say in-“

I turned from her walked over to Marcus as he came his to his feet I kicked him in the balls and threw him on the table and put the blaster to the back of his head. “Now. Your going to have to sign an agreement right now or I’ll paint this fucking table with this fucker’s blood.”

“I’ll sign it. I’ll sign it right now.” Marcus said.

Miss James hurried over with a contract already. She put a pen in his hand and Marcus signed it. She nodded at me. “Thank you Mr. Sigma. Your money will be forwarded to you right now.” She said looking over at her grandmother.

The old bitch glared at me but got out her detapad and started working.

I nodded to Erica and released Marcus. I put my blaster away and nodded to her. “Nice doing business with you Miss James. You have my number if you have any more problems that need to be handled call me up.”

Miss James kissed me on the lips and nodded to me. “Thank you husband. I will call if I need your assistance again.”

I nodded to her and headed for the door. I looked at my wrist watch. Damn. This shit took thirty minutes to finish. I wasn’t going to get my extra pay from Erin.

Damn. I really really like this dude.

The legend of Zelda call back to the stories of west and the moral virtues of old.

The hero’s journey and the struggle for man against a power hungry pig and quest to save the princess.

The legend of Zelda is a series of games that vary in good, bad and weird. I have my favorites. I just like the series in general.

Zelda just offers fun and mini challenges that appeal to me as a pick up and play or just zen out on a Saturday morning.

Challenges. I just enjoy the levels of challenges that rang in degree.

The story isn’t fucked with that much overall but it has it’s levels of blend and refinement of the hero’s journey. I love how the Legends change but the archetypes and names remain the same. The moral code remains the same and layered in complex themes. Courage (the Hero) wisdom (the Princess) and power (the Pig).

Courage guided by purpose. Wisdom seen as the prize to obtain and power as seen as the thing to tame and bring into submission by the combination of courage and wisdom working together.

Gameplay is action adventure, challenges and puzzles. It’s all just one fun little ride.
