It’s a cool night.
Clear skies above no stars where I’m sitting.
Only the glow of a full moon over head. I’m looking but I can’t find him tonight.
It always comes around this time a year. I remember just a few weeks ago going off to work and looking up at the still stary night sky and catching him looking down on me. Checking on me from time to time.
In turning of my internal clock. Time pauses in those moments. Orion looks down on me sense my youthful eyes weren’t so jaded as they are today.
I learned his name in my youth. I dreamed of being star gazer. Instead I remain just a dreamer and observer of the fall night skies.
